Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp coarse salt
- 2 cups Ketchup
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup yellow ballpark-style mustard
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup steak sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp Tamarind paste
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
Directions
- In small bowl , mix chili powder, salt, and pepper
- In a large bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire, lemon juice, steak sauce, molasses, honey, and hot sauce
- In a large saucepan saute onions over medium heat until translucent (5 minutes)
- Lower temperature and add garlic for 1 minute
- Add chili powder mixture and stir cooking for 2 minutes
- Add ketchup mixture and stir. Simmering for 15 minutes to thicken
- Taste and adjust seasoning it should taste a little vinegary
